Author's note

Bender, designed by Oleg Zhuravlev and Gladkikh Ivan, is a free techno display font built from angular, machine-cut forms. Rounded letters become compact polygons, with clipped corners and squared joins establishing a distinctly digital structure. The strokes are spare and sharply controlled.

Its retro-futurist styling suits game interfaces, electronic music graphics, and science-fiction event posters, especially when the lettering needs to resemble part of a control panel or coded display. In publishing, the same constructed shapes can give technology magazine covers and feature openers a clear link to circuitry, software, and industrial design.
