Author's note
Berate the Elementary by Andrew McCluskey is a free modern Gothic display font with an aggressively angular silhouette. Broad, dark strokes are sliced by long diagonals, pointed notches, and narrow white channels. The repeated wedges make the lettering look machined and fast, with several forms locking into a nearly continuous band.
That hard-edged construction suits metal album covers and club posters, but it can also give esports branding and game title cards a severe technological edge. Its strongest home is industrial music and dystopian science fiction.
