Berlin Email Serif by Peter Wiegel is a free Jugendstil serif font with tall, narrow letters and a brisk early-20th-century poster mood. The strong vertical rhythm, clipped serifs, and rounded lowercase forms give it a compact, urban character that feels a little formal and a little eccentric.
It fits book covers, cabaret or theater posters, restaurant branding, editorial headings, and title cards where that period flavor matters more than neutrality. As a free font, it also works well for short packaging names, event flyers, or drop-ins on menus, because the condensed silhouette lets you pack in a few words while keeping the atmosphere intact.
