Author's note

Berlin Email, by Peter Wiegel, is a free narrow sans serif with a distinctly early modernist, Berlin poster feel. The letters are spare and upright, with a tall, compressed rhythm and softly rounded corners that keep the geometry from feeling cold or mechanical.

It suits editorial mastheads, exhibition graphics, book covers, poster titles, and branding where a lean vertical voice helps the wording carry the design. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, title cards, and monogram-like initials, because the tight proportions and plain shapes give even a few letters a crisp, urban presence.
