Author's note

Biko is a free geometric sans serif with broad capitals, rounded lowercase forms, and an even stroke, drawn with clean curves, firmly cut joins, and ample interior space. Its circles are generous, and the spacing feels steady.

As a clean, approachable product voice, it suits lifestyle branding, food packaging, and cultural event posters, where its plain geometry keeps the message relaxed and current. On magazine covers and storefront signage, the wide round forms can become part of a simple circle-based graphic system rather than serving only as neutral lettering.

Biko is also available in Light. The name honors Steve Biko, a South African anti-apartheid activist.
