Birdhaus by Afterglowtype is a free cartoon display font with lanky, hand-cut letters and a mischievous edge. The uneven strokes bend, pinch, and flare into restless silhouettes. Scratched cuts scatter across the forms.
A Halloween party poster is its clearest fit, with the crooked construction supplying humor as well as unease. It also suits children's mystery packaging, quirky music merchandise, and theatrical event graphics. The repeated gouges can echo claw marks, torn paper, or rough ink in the surrounding artwork.
