Author's note

Birmingham Titling Elongated by PJ Lloyd is a free elongated serif display font built from extremely tall, narrow letters and dramatic shifts between broad strokes and hairline details. Its pinched joins, pointed curves, and stretched proportions recall late Victorian and early Art Nouveau titling, with a formal edge that borders on theatrical.

Theatrical posters are its most convincing setting. The same attenuated shapes can lend period tension to book covers and historical event graphics, while fashion branding and music packaging can use the lettering as a decorative frame or emblem rather than ordinary text, especially around portraiture, botanical drawings, or archival photography.
