Author's note

Bitchen Bold, created by Thomas Canale in 2013, is a free distorted display font with tall, tightly packed letters and pronounced shifts between thick and thin strokes. Many forms look swollen, pinched, or unevenly stretched.

Concert posters are its strongest setting, especially for punk, garage rock, or experimental acts seeking forceful lettering with a warped physical edge. On album covers and band merchandise, the irregular proportions can become part of a performer's stage persona rather than functioning as simple labeling. Skate graphics and alternative event flyers offer another convincing home for the font's strange, rubbery curves and blunt, crowded shapes.
