Author's note

Bitchen Nord, designed by Thomas Canale in 2013, is a free distorted display font with massive, tightly packed forms. Its broad curves, abrupt cut-ins, and squeezed inner spaces give the lettering an inflated, compressed look with oddly pinched shapes.

Streetwear labels and independent record brands suit its loud, unconventional profile. Posters and music packaging can treat the dense silhouette as a forceful graphic element. On event merchandise, the warped lettering can become the emblem of an unruly product identity.
