Author's note

Blagovest 3, a free Cyrillic medieval display font from Autorsko Pravo, with lowercase added and conversion by Nikola Kovanovic, draws on old Slavic lettering with a stark, ceremonial mood. The letters pair tall, blocky verticals with carved wedge cuts and the occasional curling flourish, so the font feels both monastic and ornamental at once.

It fits church festival posters, historical exhibition graphics, book covers, title cards, and folk music branding where a strongly Cyrillic voice matters more than neutrality. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, drop caps, and monograms, because those heavy upright forms and sudden curled details give even a few letters a charged, manuscript-like presence.
