Author's note

Block Talk by Zaydek Michels-Gualtieri of Mawns is a free Roman-inspired pixel display font with an uncompromising, machine-cut silhouette. Its lettering alternates broad horizontal runs with narrow upright strokes, producing forms that seem stretched across a low electronic panel. Deep notches and abrupt gaps give familiar Latin shapes a coded, architectural appearance.

Posters are its strongest setting, particularly for electronic music events, experimental games, and technology exhibitions seeking a stark digital title treatment. On album covers and game interfaces, the long bars and cutaway shapes can echo circuit diagrams, level maps, or geometric illustrations rather than functioning as neutral lettering.
