Blockfont by gladdesign of FSI FontShop International GmbH is a free geometric sign dingbat font built from stark, solid shapes. Crisp edges and square proportions give the symbols a compact, modular look. Their construction remains blunt, orderly, and highly reduced.
Wayfinding signage is its clearest use, especially for public spaces and game environments. It also fits interfaces and instructional diagrams. Because the symbols read as simple blocks, they can become map markers within grid-based illustrations.
