Blocko by Jorrit van Rijt is a free decorative display font with towering, tightly fitted letterforms. Broad black uprights dominate the design, cut by hairline bars and sharp triangular notches. The repeated slots and split strokes give the alphabet an architectural silhouette.
Dark music and avant-garde fashion are natural territory for its severe geometry, especially on album covers and club posters. Its unusual forms can also turn game titles and event graphics into part of the artwork. For clothing labels or specialty products, it can supply a stark brand identity.
