Blog the Impaler, a free distressed 3D display font by Kirk Shelton, turns chunky, irregular lettering into a looming block of exaggerated extrusion. Its blunt shapes lean and jostle against one another, while speckled wear across the letter fronts and deep sides gives the design a rough photocopied bite.
Use this free font for horror-comedy posters, zine mastheads, album covers, skate graphics, and offbeat title cards. It works best in short, oversized phrases, where the heavy drop and battered texture can carry the composition without extra ornament.
