Bonning Wide Expanded Bold by Paul J Lloyd of Greater Albion Typefounders is a free high-contrast serif display font with broad, softly modeled letters. Heavy upright strokes meet fine crossbars and compact wedge-like serifs, producing a firm silhouette. Its generous width and rounded forms give the design a genial, old-fashioned air.
Vintage poster lettering is the clearest reference, making the face suitable for theater bills and heritage event graphics with illustrated borders or ornamental rules. It feels especially apt for food packaging.
