Author's note

Booklet Cordel by Galdino Otten is a free eroded display font with broad, uneven capitals and a forceful hand-cut silhouette. Its dense scratches resemble worn ink and rough-cut relief printing.

Posters are its strongest medium, especially for folk events, independent music promotions, and publishing with a handmade edge. The coarse surface echoes woodcut illustration and photocopied textures, letting the type become part of the artwork rather than a clean caption. It also fits book covers and merchandise built around rustic printmaking, regional storytelling, or street-poster imagery.
