Author's note

Borealis from FontBank is a free brush script with tall, loosely drawn letters and pronounced shifts between broad strokes and fine joins. The uneven line and lively loops give the writing the quick pace of lettering made directly with a loaded sign brush.

Its informal sweep can suit restaurant packaging and market signage just as readily as music posters or event merchandise. In food and retail work, the broad downstrokes recall painted storefront signs, while the long connecting strokes can become part of a logo or illustrated label rather than sitting apart from the artwork.
