Author's note

Box Face by Tension Type is a free groovy display font built from chunky geometric caps and sliced by a steady grid of horizontal and vertical breaks. The letters feel like modular tiles from a late-60s or early-70s pop graphic, with rounded quarters, tight spacing, and a playful block rhythm that keeps the wordshape broad and bold.

It suits poster headlines, record sleeve graphics, logo sketches, title cards, and packaging where a free font can carry a retro mood without turning fussy. The boxy repetition gives short names, cover lines, and monogram-style initials a punchy, patterned look that reads more like graphic lettering than neutral type.

Description
Box Face started as somehting for fun. I just wanted to see how many letters I could create within a minimal space. I broke a few rules along the way, but a pretty full typeface was created. But its only good at really large sizes. Display only :)
