Author's note

BP Typewrite Damaged Underscored Italic by George Triantafyllakos is a free hand-drawn display font with a rough, typewritten edge. Its uneven strokes and shifting widths resemble letters made by a worn ribbon or improvised marker. A continuous underline gives the lettering an insistent, note-like finish.

It can lend album artwork the rawness of a hastily marked demo, yet it also suits cafe packaging. Posters and magazine covers benefit from the same scuffed, personal quality. Its most convincing role is in music graphics, where the underline can become part of a title treatment.
