Author's note

Brighton Serif NBP by Nate Halley is a free retro display serif with an exceptionally tall, narrow silhouette and tightly packed strokes. Its squared serifs and abrupt corners give the lettering an industrial, machine-cut look. Rounded joins keep the rigid forms from feeling entirely severe.

Industrial history and early machine-age graphics make a useful theme for posters, magazine covers, and music packaging. The compressed lettering suggests old factory placards and stamped equipment. It can also shape signage for retro bars or game graphics with a mechanical period setting.
