Author's note

BubbleGum font by Thomas W. Ziller is a free comic display typeface with big, pillowy letters that look like they’ve been puffed up with air. The shapes are bold, rounded, and slightly irregular, giving text a bouncy, hand-drawn energy that feels friendly and loud at the same time. Thick strokes and tight spacing make words lock together like chunky candy pieces, so short phrases really pop on the page or screen.

This free font shines on kids’ book covers, birthday invitations, candy or snack packaging, playful logos, event posters, and YouTube or streaming thumbnails. Using BubbleGum instantly sets a fun, informal tone that’s easy to read from a distance. Try pairing it with a clean sans serif for smaller supporting text, and let BubbleGum handle the big headlines, wordmarks, and attention-grabbing titles.
