California is a free eroded display font from Dirt2.com, drawn with broad, solid capitals and a hard industrial silhouette. Bursts, gouges and scraped gaps cut through the strokes, ranging from fine abrasion to large splintered voids.
Its grunge-poster character suits concert posters, skate merchandise and album covers, where the damaged lettering can become part of the artwork. Streetwear branding is another convincing use, especially for punk, metal and underground music themes.
