Author's note

Candy Coloured Clown by Jeremy Woods is a free outlined cartoon font with oversized, softly inflated letters. Heavy contours wrap roomy interiors, and uneven widths keep the line lively. Pinched joins give the alphabet a gummy, hand-shaped quality.

Sweet-shop packaging and children's posters benefit from lettering that already resembles soft candy. Album artwork and comic covers can draw on its broad, cheerful silhouette. Confectionery illustrations can borrow the same rounded forms, so the lettering becomes part of the artwork.
