Author's note

Cantarell Oblique by Dave Crossland is a free humanist sans serif with a brisk forward slant, open proportions, and gently modulated strokes. Broad curves and clipped, angled endings add a clear, subtle calligraphic edge.

An arts magazine is a convincing setting for its mix of editorial poise and handwritten movement. It also suits cultural event posters, gallery programs, and identity work for independent publishers and studios. The slanted forms are especially apt for stories about art, architecture, and creative practice.
