Cap Scratched from Xerographer Fonts is a free distressed handwritten font with wiry capitals and a deliberately battered surface. Deep scratches run through the strokes. Uneven contours, needle-sharp tips, and rough crossbars make the lettering resemble an old inscription that has been scraped into wood or metal.
That etched texture connects directly with distressed photography and hand-drawn artwork, making the font useful for horror posters, underground music packaging, and game title screens. On Halloween event graphics or dark fantasy merchandise, the recurring cuts and thorny edges can become part of the surrounding scratches, branches, or cracked decorative motifs.
