Author's note

Caramella by Romulo Castilho de Freitas is a free calligraphic serif font with a gentle old-style flavor. Its letters pair sweeping, tapered curves with softly bracketed details, so the overall feel is decorative without becoming fussy, and the rhythm leans more literary than formal.

It fits book covers, cafe branding, confectionery packaging, invitations, and short editorial headings where a warmer, slightly romantic voice helps carry the message. As a free font, it also works well for title cards, logo sketches, and monogram-like initials, because those broad curves and pinched joins give even a few letters a distinctive silhouette.
