Carbolith by Apostrophe of Apostrophic Laboratories is a free spiky display font with the rough cut of improvised lettering. Its uneven capitals are built from tapering strokes that cross and jut past one another, forming jagged silhouettes with a skeletal, hand-drawn edge.
Horror game titles and punk album art draw on the same tense, scratchy construction. It also fits Halloween event posters and skate merchandise. There, the thorn-like extensions can become part of an emblem or product identity.
