Author's note

Carlo Ator Italic by Timm Erickson of the Summer Institute of Linguistics is a free Arabic-script font with a linear display character. Its long horizontal joins and deep diagonal sweeps create a low, stretched silhouette. Rounded loops interrupt that angular movement, with small accent marks adding lively detail above and below the main line.

For cultural publishing and language-learning materials, its emphatic structure gives headings a memorable editorial voice. It also suits festival posters and music graphics, where the sweeping strokes can echo borders, patterns, or drawn ornament. On event merchandise, the connected forms can become part of an illustrated band rather than simply labeling it.
