Carmencita font by Listemageren is a free gothic initials typeface that looks like it was pulled from an illuminated storybook. Each letter is tall and slender, with inky curls, tiny teardrop ornaments, and arched strokes that feel both theatrical and slightly mysterious. The texture is ornate without being messy, giving you dramatic capital letters that instantly frame a word as special.
This free font shines on fantasy book covers, gothic or cabaret posters, dark romantic wedding invitations, chapter initials, labels for candles or apothecary-style packaging, and boutique logos.
