Carnala, created in Tampico, Mexico by Rodrigo Navarro Bolado, is a free handwritten font with tall, loosely drawn letters and an airy monoline stroke. Its narrow forms bend and lean from character to character, and the oversized curves give the writing a relaxed, slightly eccentric silhouette.
The casual hand-lettered style points toward independent music and editorial design, making it useful for album artwork and magazine features. It also suits cafe branding and event posters, where the irregular shapes can feel personal rather than corporate. Across settings, long strokes and uneven proportions give the directness of a handwritten note.
