CarrickCaps by ALLTYPE is a free Celtic initial font built around ornate framed capitals. Broad letterforms are threaded with ribbon-like interlace, pointed turns, and enclosed loops. The decoration recalls illuminated manuscript lettering with a dense silhouette and hand-drawn irregularity.
Historical publishing is its strongest setting, especially chapter openings, book covers, and museum displays rooted in medieval art. Fantasy game emblems are another good fit, linked to those uses by the same knots, borders, and heraldic ornament.
