Author's note

Casiopea Ultra, designed by Eli Castellanos of Cocijotype, is a free ultra-heavy display sans serif with a compact silhouette. Broad strokes and tightly fitted letters build dense word shapes, with rounded curves easing the blocky mass. The shapes look blunt and deliberately compact.

Its retro commercial lettering suits concert posters, sports merchandise, and snack packaging because the dense type can behave almost like a logo. In editorial work, it can turn a magazine cover line into a solid graphic band across bold photography.
