Author's note

Celtic 101, a free Celtic gothic font from Il Papyrus, leans into medieval manuscript drama with heavy uncial-style letters wrapped in knotwork and curling ornament. The font feels ceremonial and old-world, with broad dark forms balanced by interlaced centers and vine-like flourishes that keep the letters lively rather than severe.

It fits naturally in pub signs, folk festival posters, book covers, chapter openers, and music packaging where a free font with clear Celtic cues helps set the scene fast. Use it for short titles, monograms, or decorative initials too, since the elaborate knots and curled endings carry the mood even in just a few letters.
