Author's note

CF The Lost Battalion by CloutierFontes is a free eroded display font with broad, weighty capitals and a blunt, commanding silhouette. Rounded corners soften the dense forms, but the uneven edges keep them raw. Scattered chips and larger punched-out gaps make the damage feel irregular rather than decorative.

Bands, streetwear labels, and action-oriented event organizers will find its battered lettering especially apt. It can give concert posters, merchandise, and rugged product packaging the look of ink transferred from worn wood type or a damaged press. In magazine design, it suits forceful cover lines or feature openers about music, military history, underground culture, or hard-used equipment.
