Author's note

Chaotic Circuit font by Swat Kat is a free distorted display typeface. Each letter looks like it’s been wired together from scratch-scribbly outlines, stray dots, and circuit-like crossbars give it a raw, hacked-together energy. The texture feels almost hand-etched and glitchy at the same time, like a blueprint that’s been photocopied one too many times.

Using Chaotic Circuit, you can push posters, zines, cyberpunk artwork, DJ flyers, game titles, album covers, and experimental branding into gloriously unstable territory. This free font works best big and bold, where all those inky splinters and electronic details can really buzz. For an easy pairing, set headlines in Chaotic Circuit and keep body copy in a clean monospaced sans so the chaos stays loud but readable.
