Charnel House by BCD/MFA is a free macabre dingbat font built from hand-drawn skull and bone illustrations. Its rough ink texture, chipped contours, and deep shadow give the images a grimy underground-print quality. The clustered forms feel dense and physical rather than like tidy symbols.
Horror posters are its clearest setting, with album art, tattoo shop merchandise, and Halloween event graphics matching the morbid subject matter. It is strongest when the skulls become the central illustration.
