Author's note

Chemist by Cathy Davies, based on William Davies' handwriting, is a free brush script with the ease of a personal signature. Broad, sweeping strokes shift sharply between thick and thin, sending the letters forward with lively momentum. The finish is loose and assured.

Packaging can use this fluid lettering to make cosmetics or small-batch drinks seem personally signed. Quick curves also suit fashion branding, invitations, and music merchandise with an intimate direction. It can turn an editorial cover line into a handwritten endorsement instead of a formal title.
