Author's note

Chinyen by Neale Davidson is a free Chinese-inspired display font with broad, forceful forms, clipped geometry, and strokes that shift suddenly between heavy slabs and tapered points. The silhouette is dense, jagged, and deliberately uneven.

Martial arts posters and game title cards draw on its aggressive angles, whereas restaurant packaging and festival branding can use the broad forms as a strong cultural cue. In either setting, the broken crossbars and sweeping diagonal cuts can become recurring brand elements across signs, labels, promotional artwork, and other parts of a coordinated identity.
