Author's note

CHIP TUNES Light by Gilberto Moya Perona of Pisto Casero is a free outlined display font with a distinctly digital texture. Tall, rounded letters have open interiors and narrow, tubular proportions. A checkerboard edge treatment gives the lettering the flicker of an early computer screen.

It can turn a game title screen or music event poster into a piece of retro electronic imagery, with the patterned strokes echoing low-resolution graphics. Album artwork and streaming graphics also suit its arcade-inspired finish, but game branding is its most convincing role.
