Chixat 8 by Sonia Dinamarca Ortiz is a free pixel font built from stark, square-edged blocks. Its lowercase letters have broad, open forms, with stepped curves and abrupt corners that recall early low-resolution screens. The construction is crisp and spare.
Digital graphics are its clearest setting, especially game interfaces and web artwork inspired by early computing. The compact bitmap texture also suits music merchandise and event posters with an electronic or arcade theme.
