Author's note

Chord Boxes by Joseph Spicer is a free music-themed art dingbat font built around notes, staff lines, and chord-box diagrams rather than a general assortment of decorative pictures. Bold note heads sit against very fine rules, and repeated arches, open rectangles, and long vertical strokes give the collection a crisp diagrammatic look on the page.

Concert posters and lesson materials are equally convincing settings. On album artwork and music-school merchandise, the pictograms can become part of an illustrated score, diagram, or playful emblem instead of serving as ordinary text lettering.
