Chord Boxes by Joseph Spicer is a free music-themed art dingbat font built around notes, staff lines, and chord-box diagrams rather than a general assortment of decorative pictures. Bold note heads sit against very fine rules, and repeated arches, open rectangles, and long vertical strokes give the collection a crisp diagrammatic look on the page.
Concert posters and lesson materials are equally convincing settings. On album artwork and music-school merchandise, the pictograms can become part of an illustrated score, diagram, or playful emblem instead of serving as ordinary text lettering.
This font contains characters for building chord diagrams for guitar, ukulele, mandolin, vihuela, or any other fretted stringed instrument with at least two strings.
