Author's note

Christmas Card II, Harold Lohner's free blackletter font, channels storybook Gothic with a warm holiday-card mood rather than a severe medieval bite. The letters mix broad, dark strokes with soft teardrop turns and clipped diamond details, giving the font a hand-lettered feel that nods to classic film titling.

It suits Christmas cards, seasonal packaging, book jackets, pub menus, and nostalgic poster work, where that old-world warmth can carry a short line on its own. As a free font, it also works well for title cards, invitations, and brief cover lines, since the decorative rhythm in the letters gives even a few words a distinct period flavor.
