Author's note

Ciudad de Dios is a free experimental Gothic display font with towering, skeletal letters and a severe medieval air. Its thin strokes rise into pointed arches, split tips, and tightly folded curves. The forms are narrow and restless.

Cathedral silhouettes echo the lettering's spires, linking it closely with historical posters and dark fantasy publishing. Its elongated shapes also suit metal album art and game graphics with ceremonial imagery. Ruined cities, Gothic architecture, and medieval fantasy are its clearest subjects.
