Author's note

Clementhorpe Italic by Paul J Lloyd of Greater Albion Typefounders is a free calligraphic serif with the poised sweep of formal pen lettering. Its long, tapering strokes and pronounced thick-thin changes give the letters an elegant, slightly theatrical silhouette. Broad curves keep the design fluid, and sharp finishing strokes add a lively edge.

Literary and historical themes suit its cultivated manner, making it useful for book covers, exhibition posters, and invitations with a period-minded air. It can also lend fashion packaging and restaurant branding a graceful, hand-drawn signature.
