Author's note

Clunex Title, created by Thomas Pointon of FontStruct, is a free futuristic display font built from tall, forceful capitals. Its broad vertical strokes are cut with sharp notches, pointed joints, and hard diagonal corners. The result has the severity of blackletter translated into a stark geometric system.

Game graphics are an especially convincing medium for these angular forms, which could shape title screens and faction emblems. The same engineered silhouette suits electronic music posters, science-fiction packaging, and esports merchandise with themes drawn from ceremonial armor or mechanical structures. Blade-like icons, circuit patterns, and architectural illustrations can echo the recurring cuts in the letters.
