Author's note

CM Old Western by Christopher Means is a free eroded Western display font with the rough-cut look of weathered frontier signage. Broad capitals carry slab-like serifs, uneven edges, and dense scratch marks.

Designers working on saloon-themed events or Americana entertainment will find it suited to posters and title cards. The distressed surface can also supply a convincing period cue for whiskey packaging and Western game graphics. It is best aimed at audiences who recognize the visual shorthand of wanted notices, timber signs, and frontier ephemera.
