Combino Midden by Jeffrey Visser of FontStruct is a free pixel font built from stark square modules and stepped corners. Its monoline forms are tall and notably compact in width, with abrupt cut-ins that recall an early low-resolution screen.
Retro game developers and electronic music labels are its natural audience. It can shape game interfaces, event posters, album artwork, and tech merchandise with a direct arcade-era reference rather than a softened nostalgic look. Across these uses, the rigid grid and irregular notches make each word feel like part of an electronic display, control panel, or an old block-built video game map.
