Comic Runes by Adrian Candela is a free angular Gothic display font with stark monoline letters that echo runic inscriptions. Its tall, narrow forms combine blunt verticals with long diagonals, open joins, and recurring diamond-shaped spaces, creating a spare silhouette that feels archaic yet distinctly graphic.
Designers drawn to mythic worlds will find it suited to game titles, posters, event graphics, and themed merchandise. For book covers and fantasy publishing, the angular letters can become part of the artwork for richly imagined histories alongside rune-like maps, carved borders, stone textures, or geometric emblems, rather than serving as neutral text alone.
