Author's note

Coptic by Peter J. Gentry is a free Coptic-inspired display font with rounded, irregular forms and the sturdy weight of carved lettering. Greek-like shapes, crossbars, and shifting stroke widths give the alphabet an ecclesiastical quality, with softly uneven curves that keep it from looking mechanically constructed.

It can turn a museum title into an artifact-like inscription. Church event posters, historical publishing, and game maps suit its ancient-script styling, especially when the letterforms echo crosses, seals, manuscript ornament, or other imagery drawn from early religious art.
