Author's note

Crack and Bold by Steve Cloutier is a free eroded display font with dense, forceful capitals. Deep fractures split the broad letter shapes, and scattered chips create a rough surface resembling cracked paint or weathered signage.

Decay and urban wear make it especially suited to horror and underground music graphics. Posters and game artwork gain a damaged industrial edge. On magazine covers, the broken letter surfaces can become part of the editorial imagery rather than simple titling.
